The Hardwick family carry five generations of experience in the sheep and beef industry. Over this time, through our history in farming and meat production, we have seen first-hand the significant impact the Dorper breed has had on the Australian sheep industry.

As shedding sheep gained ground in Australia, we were naturally drawn to Dorpers as the leading breed. Their outstanding meat yield and adaptability to Australian conditions make them an exceptional choice for modern sheep production.

In 2021, our family made a major commitment to establish the Deepdale Dorper Stud in Toodyay, Western Australia. Since then, we’ve expanded to “Willah” in Merrinee, Victoria, where the operation is managed by Stud Master Wicus Cronje and Farm Manager Brady Bowen.

Our team’s commitment to quality is reflected in our ongoing achievements, most recently earning the title of “Most Successful Exhibitor” in both Dorper and White Dorper categories at the 2025 Dorper Sheep Society of Australia (DSSA) National Show.

For us, these results are simply a reflection of what we’re aiming for — using proven genetics and sound industry knowledge to breed practical, reliable and high-quality animals.
